PINAKI MUKHERJEE says:

Sir,

This for my academic interest,
Actually we often do dowelling of re-bars in RCC structures by drilling the existing concrete based on the dia of re-bar to be fixed.,in this regard i would like to know the following
1.What should be dowelling length on post concrete surface?
2.Is the dowelling length depends on the depth of the strs, if yes what is the ratio?
3.What should be the chemical to be used for fixing the reinforcement after drilling operation is over on post concrete?
Kindly share your knowledge on above.

I need information,Can a Concrete Slab be placed on a building Ist floor, the materail used in walling is 16″x8″ hollow blocks (mostly substandard and compromised cement ratio used in making of these blocks). There is not a single concrete piller in this contruction and size of building is more than 100 feet long. Are there chances of collapse of hollow blocks earlier or later due to over load.Plz reply earlier.Bcz then stay can be put on work,as this is comercial building the large no of humans will be at risk earlier or later.
