Hi there, I’m a student who has just completed A Levels and have got excellent results. I wanted to be a civil engineer since I was kid and will be continuing to do so. I’m pretty good at IT too, so have started a bachelors degree in IT which I will be doing part-time while completing my bachelors in civil engineering.
I want to know whether doing the IT degree will be an advantage as I plan on working as a civil engineer. Also, what other qualifications (courses, diplomas, degrees etc) should I learn to support my bachelors in civil engineering?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot 🙂
Kind Regards,
Janitha
i am facing seepage, leakage and through and through cracks in PT Slab of thickness 200mm.
Need urgent help
Regarding :- Reinforcing Bar Couplers (connection between wall and slab)
I am constructing Road under bridge on NH by Cut & Cover Technique comprising box of Approximate opening size 7.0 x 3.65 m and 20m length . Currently the carriage way of the road (NH) is 12.5 mtr. 20 mtr culvert was proposed with slab and for future expansion 20 mtr on both side extension was proposed (total length 60 mtr.). It was decided that in future extension , we will cast the wall currently and slab will cast in future on need. For casting slab in future couplers were introduce in wall. On present the walls upto 2.5 mtr has been casted and remaining 1 mtr will caste after fixing couplers but treads have not made in bars (25mm dia). I just want to know that how treads are made in bars. whether the process is done in site or workshop ??? is in workshop than how can we rectified the problem now.
If we use benzene to separate bitumen and aggregates they are seperating but bezene and bitumen are getting mixed…so how to separate that benzene and bitumen…???
