Can you kindly guide us in the matter of proper horizontal Construction joints in the walls of a Water Tannk which is around 6.0 metres high? I would specially invite your attention on the factors that the location of joints, including the first joint at the base slab level/Kicker-Starter level and further as we gain height.
The contractor is ready to use 60cm X 120cm sized steel shuttering plates for the works.
Is it required to be with a water stop bar or a thorough scabbled joint is sufficient in this case? Also, kindly give insights into the special precautions we shall take due to the present hot summer weather and dry/humid winds that is normal in Kerala Conditions.
