Sir,
I have completed B.tech (Civil) in 2017. After that, I searched for a safe and stable job and landed in a government job, which is a full-time office job. I have been working there for one year. But, now I feel that I should be in the profession I studied for 4 years. My question is, Is it good for me to try for government engineering jobs with my B.tech or should I go for M.tech and then go for engineering job after M.tech?

I want to make a 11′ high 5″ thick and 30 ‘ long brick wall over the Slab which have no cantilever, My contractor didn’t give any cantilever or hidden beam below the slab. There is 3 nos. 15″ X 12″ column under the roof beam. It is simply extended slab of 2 feet from the column or main wall. They said that we can give parapet balcony wall but i want to raise 11′ high 5″ thick brick wall on it with 2 nos. 5’X4’ sliding glass window. Kindly suggest what should i do now. Can we make some arrangement that i can put beam over the slab again & raise the wall on it ?? Please suggest me.

I am a High School Senior taking the engineering research and design course at my school. For my current project I am to ask experts in the field of civil and structural engineering questions about Trestles and how they are used to build bridges.

When building a trestle bridge, what are the most important factors to consider?

How can I make the individual trestles of the bridge as sturdy as they can be with a minimal amount of materials?

I feel mild tremors in my flat (2nd floor) due to closing of the main door at immediate upper floor (reason-Children do door closing with force) . The building is new-two years’ old. I otherwise find the material used in the building is good.

It is 4.5 floors’ building with stilt parking.

Can tremors be dangerous?
