I am Civil engineer with site experience . I have a question concerning a site construction dispute with respect circular 9″ column & reinforcement steel.
In a 9″ circular column Instead of 6 nos 12mm bar only 4 nos 12mm bars were fixed and footing casted and circular 9″ column raised up to Ground level plinth beam bottom level.
If we can introduce 2 nos 12mm Dia circular columns from ground level plinth beam with sufficient L shaped lap length from plinth beam?
Does High water ceme ratio make concrete porous and allow water to penetrate after casting? And how do u maintain w/c incase of underwater structures?
