Sir,please give a solution to my problem.Sir,actually i didnt get good rank in any of the engineering examinations 2010.But I had one option.I got 6097 rank in GITAM university. And for that rank,I am getting civil eng branch.I am intrested in joining civil eng.But my friends and lecturers are saying that it is not advisable to take it.They are saying that, job oppurtunities are less,we wont get good jobs and and we dont get good salaries.Do we get good salaries sir?Do we get chances abroad? what is the highest paid salary in india in present conditions? Is it advisable to opt for civil eng during present conditions?please give a suggestion sir, plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Sir…
could you plz tell me about open foundation….and if you could some info about training reports on railway engineering…I shall be really thankful to you.
hello sir,, ihave cleared my 12th and now going for admissions.
i am not able to judge whether i am intrested in civil line or not..
i know this is one kind of wierd question,,
however this line fascinates me. please help me out…pls..

dear sir,
In my project we find cracks in some of the concerte flooring even though we provided construction joints.
Please guide me how to repair or seal the cracks and to avoid further cracks.
To Sundararajan,
In devising a suitable method to seal up cracks detected on concrete surface, it is of paramount importance to determine if further movement would be expected for the cracks. If the crack is not expected to move further, it is sufficient to brush cement grout into it. For wider cracks, other materials like latex-cement mixture may be considered for sealing the crack.
When further movement is expected for the crack, seals wider than the cracks are recommended to be applied over the crack in order to reduce the strain around it to an acceptable level. Moreover, it is desirable to apply the treatment when the cracks are widest so that the sealing material is not subject to further extension. Care should be taken to prevent bonding of sealing material with the bottom of the crack to ensure that only direct tension forces are experienced in the sealing material.
Please tell me how to increase Marshall Stability?
To Waqar Adeel,
Marshall stability measures the maximum load sustained by the bituminous material at a loading rate of 50.8 mm/minute. The test load is increased until it reaches a maximum. Beyond that, when the load just starts to decrease, the loading is ended and the maximum load (i.e. Marshall stability) is recorded. During the loading test, dial gauge is attached which measures the specimen’s plastic flow owing to the applied load.
Marshall stability is related to the resistance of bituminous materials to distortion, displacement, rutting and shearing stresses. The stability is derived mainly from internal friction and cohesion. Cohesion is the binding force of binder material while internal friction is the interlocking and frictional resistance of aggregates. Hence, it can be incraesed b inceasing the binder content of the bituminous mix.
presently i am BE final year.i would like to do a project innovative in civil engg.plz suggest some ideas
sir, i am working as a site engineer in consultancy field. when i was colleged i am not get intrest in structure but now i am?…i got ideas as practical in site now i need to make the structures as my own…. may you help me how to learn structure.
may u help me to understand clearly what is a structure? whant is shear?shear force? what is bending moment?
sir, i am working as a executive in ennore port limited at chennai.could you plz tell me about how to calculate cement quantity for R.R. masonary in 1:6 propotion.
Sir,I am a final year student. Please suggest me a project and its details. Please sir
Sir,
In inlining and Guniting of M.S pipes the theoretical & Practical calculations does not match. How to assume the wastages or is there any standards for the same .
eg. OD of MS pipe -457mm Thk-5.6mm
Inlining -10mm CM -1:1.5
Guniting -25mm CM – 1:3
i am joining first year civil engg. what are opportunities for me and how can i develop my knowledge. how can i continue my higher studies?
Hiiiiiiiii, i am doing civil engineering in gec rajkot and i thinking about structural engineering so wt i do? and how can i am being structural engineer?and give me list of subject name and how it divided in branching?
sir,
plz suggest some topics for mini project
sir.. plz help me for project report for one month training i am totally confused??how can i prepare
sir,
i am deobrat, final year engineering student.sir, i have to do a project related to my field, i need your expert help in suggesting only the topics which i should go for which is more appealing and would be more beneficial keeping in mind the placement.
If I know the natural water content, max dry density, and the optimum water content of a soil, how do you calculate how much water needs to added to acheive optimum water content for a volume of soil? Thanks very much.
To deobrat,
Bulk density = max dry density x (1 + optimum water content)
Mass of soils = bulk density x volume of soils
Mass of water added = (optimum water content – natural water content) x mass of soils
Sir,
I graduated in Civil Engineering for six years. Still I dont have any idea what is Flexure is. In IS 456 and all there deals with flexural strength of concrete beam and all. Could u please explain and how the flexure is defined?
Sir,someone says ‘Is there no future for civil engineer in india. Is it true? But iam intrested in civil engineering please suggest me.
