hi, sir.. i need to know more about the anchorage system which is one of the slope stabilization system. is it different from soil nailing? i owe u thousand thanks if u kindly help me with this matter..tQ
Sir, what is the main causes of crack in wall.Actually i m working in dubai and facing a lot of crack on wall in my newly constructed building.and what is the best idaea to repair it.
At what temperature range the rich concrete mix like M25,M30 & M40 can be adopted. How does the strength, shrinkage, cracks etc are affected with variation of temperature? What are Q.C. to be adopted for these mix of concrete?
what is ment by fair face wall
You have mentioned about 7-8 rict scale of earth quake, which is the magnitude of earth quake. Actually the strength of earth quake which is a mainly horizontal force (as the vertical component is balanced by the self weight of structure) depends also upon the intensity of earth quake. The horizontal force of earth quake is determined by considering many factors like earth quake zone, type of soil on which foundation rests type of building materials used in structure such as concrete, steel, bricks and other materials, properties like dampness, ductility of materials etc. Considering all the materials the tensile strength of steel is much higher compared to concrete or bricks. Also steel has good ductility. As mild steel has better ductility than tor, a type of steel which is optimum both in tensile and ductile ex Fe500 D can be used for resisting horizontal thrust due to Seismic and wind. Hence use of type of steel is more important. Concrete can take only the compression.
it has been observed through tests that the load distribution of live load on a culvert changes significantly when the fill is less than 2 feet (0.61m). please what is the formula used in determining the loading intensity for such live loads on the box culvert if your units is to be in kN/m2. Thanks
“Maximum cement content to avoid shrinkage cracking due to temperature cycle in mass concrete”
Could someone please comment or guide me to information oneffects tempaturedevelopments in mass concrete during hydration period and important measures to be taken for control of temperature, especially maximum cement content?
I understand general information that desirable maximum limits for maximum core temperature and temperature gradient between core and the outer surface are 70C and 20C respectively.

good afternoon sir , sir i completed my b.tech of civil engg.now what to do sir ,i got 58%overall of my b.tech, what course i have to do,,which field have to go… sir please give idea for my future plans,,,
Sir, How i can designed a two storied Rcc frame strucure building
sir, please explain about scrip writing on milestone of National Highway.
how much vibration is required for a 10mm thick slab?
how much vibration is required for a 100mm thick slab?
sir i would like to ask if how can i determine the soil bearing pressure of a certain soil by using the sieve analysis?
To marlon dela rosa,
Soild bearing pressure could hardly be determined by sieve analysis.
dear sir,
i am sameer and currently pursuing my 2nd year B.TECH CIVIL ENGG in srm university, chennai. After my undergraduation my parents want me to opt for MBA. but i am confused in which way should i go. is there anything in MBA related to civil engineering like ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT. and if i do this how can i get my salary pay scale. please suggest me on this.
thanking you,
sameer charan.
i tried to use stadd pro for designing steel tower of sub stations but it shows warnings in regards to stiffness as zero at each joint of all bracings & sizes of main leg members comes to 200 where as it should be not more than 110 .this shows that provision os bracings are forfitted please please let me know the solution so that no waring is shown in the report pl.. thanks
Hello Sir Vincent T. H. CHU,
A foundation is already constructed on which an electical equipment is to be mounted, But while checking of the stability againss overturning after takin the actual surface area of equipment (which have been taken wrong in previous design), foundation fails. So can you suggest something to increase the counter wt. of wxisitng foundation to make it safe against overturning.
To Naveen Santolia,
Your situation is not fully understood. Do you have some sketches showing the situation?
sir, how can i designed the thickness of concrete casing in penstock pipe?. In our project ..due to steep slope of the terrain.. it is very difficult to anchorage the penstock using anchors blocks… as penstock diameter we are using is 3.85m
sir, i need your help..pless tell me about kerb..tq..
sir can u help me i hav a question to ask i.e.
can we measure the length between two stations using auto-level instrument
if yes please explain (if possible with a video or with a presentation with its link)
please give me any site which contains info’s on civil equipments (along with their uses in detail)
i need dry density of various items like concrete, brick work, plastering, painting for rate analysis can any one please send me
