Is structure engineering troubling you?
Do you face problems in solving even the basic problems?
If yes then look no further as engineeringcivil.com along with Er. Gobind Khurana and Er. Abhimanyu has taken an initiative to help civil engineering students in structure related queries. We are thankful to Er. Gobind Khurana, Er. Abhimanyu and Vincent T. H. CHU for being a volunteer in helping other engineers in solving problems related to structure design in R.C.C and Steel.

Easy formula to calculate ms angle,eg 50*50*6
minimum percentage of fly ash we used in concrete for 1 cum for any grade of concrete
How will I calculate or check that a 32lm length of 400mm steel pipe with concrete encasement totally submerged in water with a height of 1.7m will not float?
hi…please send me drawing of steel reinforcement in water tank.plz send as soon as possible
Can you give me M-30 concrete mix design using “Birla A1 premium cement”?
Also, kindly note that the crushed sand is in a very dry state , so does it require about 25% more water than required?
how to aviod cracks in slab while i use 53 grade OPC
Take care that the concrete does not loose its water due to external conditions, for such use sheets after finishing th slab or else use curing compounds to avoid cracks
Sir,
Can u please send me the procedure how to calculate the quantities of aggregates in all types of mixes M10, M15 etc…?
dear t vasu…raju
for getting quantities you have to calculate dry mix 1st.
porcedure for that is as
take dry volume for 10 cum concrete = 15.4
divide it by sum of ingrdients i.e. mix ratio
for 1:2:4
it will 1+2+4=7
:15.4/7
that is 2.2 cum its a cement
2.2*2 =4.4 cum its sand
2.2*4=8.8 cum its agg.
for other ration u have to just change the sum of cement sand agg ratios.
like 1:1:2, 1:4:8 etc
hello,i’m an undergraduate of civil engineering,i wish to know the relevant of civil engineering in our society today?.thanks
Dear Sir,
we want to know various mix design for making Road Paver Blcks.
thick ness of blocks 50mm, 60 mm & 80 mm.
Grades required – m15, m20, m30 respectively
regards
karnani
Sirs,
Pl. provide,
For 1000 Sq Ft roof slab, what is the mix ratio, materials required including reinforcement details. thanks
sir,
can u please help me regarding the procedure of testing of concrete i.e. water absorption test and water permeability test?
for testing this water permeability we need a apparatus called ISAT,DIN water permeability here which water is penerated through tubes at some velocity for one week of time then the cube is broken diagonally and check out the penetration of water in to the cube
The sand available in Tripura, NE states in India generally conforms to Zone-4, as per IS-383. Can we use it for Design Mix. I think IS-10262 permits it with modifications in design mix?
How do we calculate the running length of steel required for Helical stirrups in pile, the diameter of pile is600 mm, spacing is 8 tor pitch @ 150, cover 50 mm
Sir,
can you please tell me advantages of limit state method over working stress method of steel designing? Please give your answer pointwise.
Dear sir what is mean by cement slurry coat & need for applying on wall
Sir, How many bag cements used in one cum of concrete to M15,M20,M30,M35&M40 grade concrete.
Cement content varies with the grade of concrete and also it depends upon the other ingredients like fine/coarse aggregates quality and also if any admixture is used.
However IS 456 has given the min/max limits for cement contant in teh concrete based on the application and exposure condition. For M 20 concrete for RCC in noraml conditions minimum cement content has to be 300 kg/cum i.e. 6 bags
Could you please tell me the differences between continuous bridge and Integral bridge? Which one is economical?
can you explain what is a mumty?
Mumty : Constructed room at terrace to cover the stairs called Mumty.
I want to know why we maintain 25degree cent temperature for mass concrete like in T.G deck.
sir, what is prestressed concrete & how we make pre stress concrete structure & what’s the use of it?
