dear sir,i m in manufacturing of designer cement tiles 25 mm thickness.i m using 1:2.7 in upper layer i.e. in colour layer and 1:3.5 in bottom layer i.e. concrete layer.color layer’s thickness is 8mm and concrete layer’s thickness comes 17 mm.what will be the design of concrete mix in color layer and concrete layer.we are currently using marble waste and cement in color layer and crushed stone (having maximum size 6 mm) and cement in bottom layer.

Allan says:

Dear Sir, whatever the color of concrete you want this must meet the required strength of your concrete. I am now in the industry of producing coloured textures concrete for almost a decade now. Main thing is your concrete strength, second is the color you wanted. Trial mix must be always conducted for every type you wanted to produce. mix design will be with the following mix; Coloured marbles/aggregates(natural) with powder(0-5mm), plus white cement. usually you will get c30 concrete.
