I have to repair a 40 years old building. Its structurally sound but along teh cornice and sofit of the slab at some places due to rain water, and weathering concrete cover has fallen and degraded and steel bars are visible.
Can you suggest a remedy.
If the building is structurally sound, guniting may be done to solve the problems you have mentioned. But nothing can be said with 100% surety without physical examination of the building. You should consult civil engineering expert in your area and then decide accordingly.

you can repair the damaged portion using sika or dr. fixit chemical such as rust remover, rust off, latext, or if permitted using epoxy bonding agent. replace or add 8mm dia bars with existing weak one. with a experience mason. best of luck.
