Pl give the mix design of M20 required for structural PQC

kiran says:

sir is that better to do project combining both fly ash and super plasticizers together or seperatly to determine strength of concrete by varying percentage..

mvakil says:

In columns, it is cutomed to bind the bars by overlape i.e. 1.2 meter for 20mm steel bar, which causes an extra cost approx 20% in structure cost. Can we suggest, welding overlape bars instead of binding. If welding is possible what should be the ration of overlap. Please give your comments.

om v. vaidya says:

respected sir,
i had gone through your m-20 mix design as per IS-10262. i like d design procedure of mix design.
And with ur kind regards i want this literature for my project work which i m conducting in my m.tech.(structural engg.). Though i had completed some sort of project but this literature definately be very helpful to emphasis various aspects of mix design.
I will be very thankful to u for your great help.

title of project:- comparison between conventional concrete and different types of fibre reinforced concrete.

vignesh says:

i am using the water cement ratio of 0.4 in m20 grade of concrete.
Is this water cement ratio can be used in m20 grade..?

Sathish L says:

lesser the water cement ration minimises 10% of Strength whereas more than 0.5 ratio affects the strength more than 20 %
